Vaio Update wont install 'Vaio Care Recovery Updater' When I attempt to run Vaio update, it shows the 'Vaio Care Recovery' as an automatic update, but when I try to update it, it says fails and says 'please wait and try again later' - Model VPCYB1S1E - Windows 7. Please help me! 0 Kudos Reply. You need to click the Install button to download and install the software. However, many users report that downloading the update starts then they get this message saying “Installation failed. Can’t install the software because it is not currently available from the Software Update server” (see the image below).

Sony Vaio Care is a utility that scans your computer for potential problems including corrupt files, a failing hard drive or other device issues. The utility starts automatically once you turn on your computer and can slow down your computer while processing spreadsheets, creating business documents or performing other business tasks. Like other Windows utilities and programs, you can disable Sony Vaio Care and increase your business computer's overall speed. Disabling Sony Vaio Care doesn’t remove it from your computer – it is still accessible via the All Programs menu.
1.Click “Start,” type 'msconfig' in the Search field and press 'Enter.' The System Configuration utility will open.
2.Click on the “General” tab and select “Selective startup” to enable the option. Select “Load Startup Items” to remove the check mark. Click on the “Startup” tab.
3.
Scroll down the list of Startup Items and deselect “Sony Vaio Care” to disable the utility from launching when your computer starts.
4.Click “Apply” and click “OK.” Click “Restart” when prompted with a message asking if you would like to restart your computer. Once your computer restarts, a message will appear stating that startup items have been changed. Click “OK” to close the message box.
